When slim’s San Francisco is open to the public, you need to go out of your way to get your fix

SFGATE: Slim’s San Franciscos opening to the general public has become a popular hangout for SFGates visitors, but it’s not the only place to catch the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Clippers.

And as of Monday, that may soon change.

Slim’s, a popular bar with a deep reputation for craft beer and a beer garden in the basement of the building that houses the franchise, has announced it will open a bar at its flagship location at 2051 Folsom Street.

The bar will serve up food and drink, but there will be no game.

It’s a big win for the city and a good sign for Slims owner and longtime restaurateur Steve Zissou.

“We are ecstatic to have this space for the Warriors,” Zissos said in a statement.

“The Warriors are a great franchise, and this new addition will make them even more of a fan-friendly destination.

We look forward to working with our team to ensure the best experiences for all our guests.”

Slim’s is a beer and food themed bar, according to a news release.

The Warriors won the 2016 NBA Finals, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games.

The restaurant has been open since 2007.

The team has also played at the venue.

According to the release, “the Warriors have made the bar a staple of their team’s home-court, and we are excited to welcome the Warriors back to our iconic venue.”
